The Harris Board Game Collection World Cup

Here we go with the second part of the first round knockout stage.

Fair Means or Foul

1-1

Buck Rogers Battle for the 25th Century

Scorpion

0-2

Thunder Road

Formula 1

0-1

Lose Your Shirt

Railway Rivals

0-1

Settlers of Catan

The draw between Fair Means or Foul and Buck Rogers Battle for the 25th Century means a penalty shoot out for a place in the semi-final. Fair Means goes first, and scores, as does Buck Rogers. Both score their second penalty, and the third. Fair Means or Foul scores its fourth penalty, Buck Rogers misses! Both score their final penalty so Fair Means or Foul goes through!

So it’s Rogers and out for Buck, Scorpion which doesn’t have a sting in it’s tail, Formula One which stalls on the grid and Railway Rivals which goes off the rails.

Which leaves the positions looking like this:

And we’ve finally, finally reached the semi-finals! Please place in order these games from most liked to least liked:

Fair Means or Foul, Thunder Road, Lose Your Shirt, Settlers

As ever, if any game is two or more places above it’s opponent in anyone’s list, then that game scores a goal, so make your votes count. Here, I should have noticed this months ago, but the turn after next, which will be the third place play-off and the final, will of course feature the same four games as the semis. Bum, I wish I’d come up with something to handle that. Never mind, at least the final turn won’t be Fair Means v Thunder Road and Lose Your Shirt v Settlers again, so there might still be some interest.
